Mia Hamm

Mia Hamm

She is a retired American soccer player who competed with the U.S. women's national soccer team for 17 years. She was fifas "best world player of the year" back in the day.  She won the Women's World Cup in 1991 and 1999, and took Olympic gold medals in 1996 and 2004. Her lucky number was 9.

Hamm is a legend is considered the best female soccer player in history. She played with the U.S. women's national soccer team for 17 years, building one of the biggest fan bases of any American athlete. She won the Women's World Cup in 1991 and 1999, and took Olympic gold medals in 1996 and 2004. Hamm held the record for most international goals scored until June 2013, when her record was broken by fellow American player Abby Wambach.

Mia's brother had helped her practice and improve. Maybe if she would of had better cameras like a go-pro in 2004, it would have been easier to see where she had flawed. She could have seen her kicks in slow motion and have been even more of a good player (not possible until 2014).

reflection: she is truly an inspiration because she kept her legendary title as the best world player for 17 years. she thrived and worked extraordinarily hard to have succeeded the way she did. She was a grown woman so she also had a life of the side (her daughter) and found a way to multitask. the lesson here could be that, when you work this hard youll get to where you want to be, and this includes sacrifices.

Luke Aikins

Arete
Luke Aikins
Luke Aikins is an American professional skydiver, base jumper, pilot, and aerial photographer. He is the first person to dive from mid-tropospheric altitude and land safely without a parachute or a wingsuit and the second skydiver to land without using a parachute

With more than 16,000 jumps to his credit, professional skydiver Luke Aikins has performed many heart-stopping stunts, but his latest feat tops them all. On July 30, 2016, the 42-year-old daredevil became the first man in the world to leap off a plane from an altitude of 25,000 feet without a wingsuit or parachute! Instead, he relied on a net that measured 100-by-100-feet, or less than one-third the size of a football field, to break his fall and help him land safely

If it weren't for recording his practices, he wouldn't have gotten better. Also, without the recording, he would have believed a man fell 25,000 feet above the ground without even using a parachute. I know i wouldn't have believed it.

This man had the courage to make a record and make a legend of himself of being the only man to fall that high without a parachute. This meaning to take risks in life even if you know the consequences are bad but the outcome would be better. I know i wouldn't haven't been able to do that. I saw the video as well and he barley made it safely on the net, literally on the verge. i also admire the fact that once he got off the net, the first thing he did was hug his wife. Meaning that he is a big family person and id like to find a guy whom is dedicated to his family.

Marvin Goldstein

Marvin Goldstein

Over fifty years, Marvin Goldstein has been a praised pianist and a widely known mormon performer. He has recorded nearly 50 albums and has arranged 15 piano solo arrangement books including many sacred hymns which are available to purchase at his online website.

When he turned 18, he was awarded a music scholarship to Tel Aviv University School of Music in Israel. After that, he transferred to “Mozarteum” of Salzburg, Austria. He completed his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.

If technology could have advanced sooner, Marvin could have been where he is now years ago. He could have taught himself sooner from a mobile devices app or an alternative. I read that he had taught himself by ear over the radio, so the app thing really could have helped.

I think that his excellence can kind of relate to me in the perspective that id like to get into acting or music. id like to get more into that and transfer into a school that'd teach me more and get me to where id like to be. i admire the fact he taught himself and did not depend on anymore. I will be on T.V one day i can promise you that.

Computer Science Innovations

Computer Science Innovations: "Computing enables innovation in nearly every field"

  1. Internet, broadband, WWW (browser and html)
  2. PC/laptop computers
  3. Mobile phones
  4. Email
  5. DNA testing and sequencing/human genome mapping
  6. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  7. Microprocessors
  8. Fiber optics
  9. Office software (spreadsheets, word processors)
  10. GPS system
  11. Online shopping/e commerce/auctions (e.g., eBay)
  12. Media file compression (jpeg, mpeg, mp3)
  13. Social networking via the Internet
  14. Graphic user interface (GUI)
  15. Digital photography/videography
Mobile Phones
What makes a mobile phone so distinctive is that its not like a pager to remind you to answer, or like a house phone that can only be answered at home. This type of phone is taken wherever and can be used at any time. Now-a-days mobile phones have advanced so much, now having internet, opening doors to social media. Some people can't even last a day without their phones now.

Having a mobile phone, i think impacts the adolescence the most because now they're every move is being shadowed. Now, a parent can track everything a child does(the stricter the parents, the sneakier the kids). Its also easier for children to talk to people around the world and might be talking to the wrong people. but enough with the negative, it has a lot of goods coming from it, like now you can reach your child at any time. if your child needs help or a lending hand, its convenient to call or text you at any time.

little known facts

  • Your mobile phone has more computing power than the computers used for the Apollo 11 moon landing.
  • In 1983, the first mobile phones went on sale in the U.S. at almost $4,000 each.
  • Mobile phones have 18 times more bacteria than toilet handles.
  • In Japan, 90% of mobile phones are waterproof because youngsters use them even in the shower.
  • Mobile Phone Radiation can cause Insomnia, headaches and confusion.

Having a phone can solve worrying for someone, for when you're looking for them you can just call them. it can also solve crimes such as, if a cop is beating down an innocent person, you can record it and report it. Another example being, since now we carry the phones anywhere, you can access easily to call 911 in case of anything.

If it weren't for this innovation, id probably be walking home because everyday i get out of practice a different time and i can just call them once i get out. There are so many handy things a phone has done for my and im thankful for this innovation.
